Record Store Day is almost upon us, so I though I'd take the time to provide some info on rap-related releases.
The following are getting RSD exclusive releases:
The Pharcyde - "Bizzarre Ride II The Pharcyde: The Singles Collection"
Atmosphere and The Uncluded - "Record Store Day Vinyl Picture Disc"
Common - "The Dreamer, The Believer"
Afrika Bambaataa/MC5 - "Kick Out The Jams"
Shabazz Palaces - "Live at KEXP"
The following are getting RSD limited run releases:
Gorillaz (featuring James Murphy and Andre 3000) - "Do Ya Thing"
Visioneers - "Hipology"
I ran through the list pretty quickly, so it's possible I missed some stuff. You can check it out yourself here.
I think I am going to pass on all of these except The Pharcyde's singles collection. I'm a big fan of Atmosphere and Aesop but I'm not too sure about that release (though I'm only using album art and tracks titles as reasoning).
